The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is believed to include satellite communication capabilities.

When it comes to delivering satellite connectivity to smartphones, Samsung appears to be ready to draw some inspiration from Apple once more. Apple has its Emergency SOS function on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro lines, which works through a collaboration with Globalstar, and Samsung is now rumored to be working with Iridium to provide satellite communications to the Galaxy S23 series.

Iridium is a 66-satellite constellation that provides phone and data services in Low Earth Orbit. Samsung has been working for the past two years to overcome the technical challenges of bringing satellite communications to smartphones, and it appears that it has finally succeeded - rumor has it that with the launch of the Galaxy S23 family, you will be able to send text messages and small images (in the hundreds of kbps) via satellite.
The main issue, as you might expect if you've ever seen a dedicated satellite phone, was miniaturizing the antenna so that it could be installed in a regular smartphone without doubling its size.
Samsung does not expect this feature to take off in its home country of Korea because the land area is small and already well covered with 5G service, but it believes it will be a huge success in North and South America, Europe, Russia, and China, particularly in areas where infrastructure is lacking.
According to prior leaks and reports, the Galaxy S23 series will employ a higher-binned version of Qualcomm's newly launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, and it will be released in the first week of February. Ali, Noman
